Poetry: “American Nightmare” (from Feb. 2011)

Your mortgage is Upside-Down

And you work way out of town

You just might lose your land

And you expect to see the Repo-man

Beware of your bookie

What happened to nookie?

If you don’t get sick

You better get working, quick

Don’t spend on your whims

Or you’ll be stressed out on a frail limn

If you don’t watch out

You could be homeless without a doubt

You once believed in the American Dream

Now you just want to scream.
