Hallowe’en Poetry: “If It Has” (from October 2008)

If it has a mouth it can eat,

So be swift on your feet.

If it has teeth it can bite

In the dark of the night,

So run with all your might.

If it can bite it can kill

And your blood it may spill.

if it has talons

It can spill blood by the gallons

If ye have a gun or a knife

You may save your wife

Or even your life

with Feral Beasts the forest’s rife.
