Poetry: “In The Nursing Home” (from November 2008)

My mother’s in the Nursing Home

My father’s in the grave

My uncle’s in the madhouse

Because he rants and raves

My aunt is in the poorhouse

For all the dough she gave

My boss he likes to treat me

Like I was a slave.
